Native American, Southern USA, Transitional Archaic period, ca. 1st millennium CE. A fine spear point, hand-knapped from light grey stone with natural black and brown striations. The attractive weapon features a lanceolate body of petaloid form with a rounded butt, a pointed tip, convex sides, sharp edges, and a random flaking pattern that grants it a highly textured surface. Size: 4.9" L x 2.5" W (12.4 cm x 6.4 cm)
