Description:

Native American, Southern United States, Missouri, Boone County, Middle to Late Archaic period, ca. 2000 to 500 BCE. A hand-knapped stone spear head with a sizable triangulate blade made from a warm tan-brown chert. The point has recurved blade edges finished with pressure flaking, an elliptical cross-section, and barbed shoulders above a short stem with a straight base. Displayed in a Riker case, this is a well preserved and substantial example of the Etley type! Size: 6.75" L x 1.5" W (17.1 cm x 3.8 cm); case: 12.25" L x 8.125" W (31.1 cm x 20.6 cm)
