Pre-Columbian, South Coast of Peru, Nazca, ca. 100 to 600 CE; Colombia, Narino culture, ca. 1250 to 1500 CE. A set of 2 petite Nazca pottery vessels accompanied by a much larger Narino pottery bowl. The exterior of each vessel is decorated with dense linear motifs that create a personalized presentation. While the patterns on the Nazca vessels were created via applied paint, the motifs on the Narino bowl were formed via the negative-resist technique. Size of largest: 6" W x 4.3" H (15.2 cm x 10.9 cm)
