Description:

Pre-Columbian, North Coast Peru, late Moche to Sican/Lambayeque culture, ca. 650 to 1000 CE. A unique copper vessel comprised of two pieces. The bottom presents a rounded base with thin walls that rise to a circular rim, while the lid displays a conical body, a flat top, and a triangular opening on one side. A pair of drill holes can be found on the base, top, and flanking the triangular opening. Enveloped in a vibrant green patina, this ancient vessel may have once been used as a censer. Size: 2.875" in diameter x 5.5" H (7.3 cm x 14 cm)
