Description:

Pre-Columbian, North Coast Peru, Moche, ca. 100 BCE to 300 CE. A fine mold-formed pottery figure depicted standing atop a pair of attenuated legs with delineated female genitalia. Both of her arms are held tightly against her wide torso, and rounded shoulders lead upwards to a thick neck. Her expressive visage is comprised of large eyes with partially-hollowed pupils, a prominent nose, thin lips, large ears with perforated lobes, and a tall, acutely-angled brow. The exterior is covered in remains of bright pink pigment with small areas of yellow paint visible around the neck. Custom museum-quality display stand included.
