Pre-Columbian, Northern Peru, Ca 100 to 300 CE. Extremelly rare knife of the type used by the Moche in ceremonial sacrificial rites, atop which stands a gold lord standing upon a small platform holding a staff in his right hand, small object in his left, snake-head appendages emerge from his shoulders and amazingly, small wings on his back. The lord is wonderfully bedecked in turquoise inlays. Custom stand. 8-1/4" H by 5/8" W.
