Description:

Native American, Midwestern / Southern United States, Arkansas, Crittenden County, Beck, Mississippian Culture, ca. 1500 CE. An impressive pottery vessel boasting a rare form with an elongated, conical spout that curves upward from a globular body, all enveloped in taupe-hued slip. A bulging neck that narrows to a circular rim rises from the top of the dish, while a petite, nubbin handle protrudes opposite the spout. Size: 11.3" W x 8.2" H (28.7 cm x 20.8 cm)

This piece has been tested using thermoluminescence (TL) analysis and has been found to be ancient and of the period stated. A full printed and bound report is available to the buyer upon request.
