Description:

Native American, Southwestern United States, Colorado or New Mexico, Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloans), ca. 1200 to 1300 CE. A fine pottery mug of a miniature form shaped via the traditional coil-and-scrape technique. The vessel presents with a round but stable base, tapered walls topped with a thick rim, and a slender handle arching off one side. The white-ground exterior is decorated with a register of slanted fins and triangular nubs along the bottom as well as a program of inverted, crosshatched triangles along the top; the handle also features soft black stripes. Size: 1.9" W x 2.7" H (4.8 cm x 6.9 cm)
