China, Ming Dynasty, ca. 16th-17th Century BCE. A beautiful example of a ceramic horse from the Ming Dynasty. The horse stands stalwart, gaze forward, atop a green pedestal. He is vividly colored, with an elaborate green saddle and related accoutrements.
