Native American, Pacific Northwest, ca. mid-20th century CE. An stunning hand-carved wooden mask, with a fierce face, with sunken eyes, high cheekbones, and a jutting, open mouth with wide red lips. Yellow decorates the face, forming large shapes around the eyes and on the cheeks and mouth. Red fills out the nostrils and lips. Size: 7.35" W x 8.75" H (18.7 cm x 22.2 cm); 12.85" H (32.6 cm) on included custom stand.

  • Condition: Repaired from two halves. The repair is very well done and almost invisible from the front of the mask. Rich patina on all surfaces. Old handwritten note in pencil on back and that is not fully readable.
