Description:

North America, Hawaiian Islands, ca. 1950s. A stunning flower-shaped vessel skillfully carved from knotty pine of warm caramel and sienna brown hues. The artist of this piece went to great lengths to delineate the blossom's petals and overall organic form. What's more, the natural knots of the pine wood further embellish the piece with wonderful chocolate brown notes. The vessel also bears the inscription "Blair Hawaiian Knotty Pine Hawaii". A lovely piece inspired by the beautiful flora of Hawaii. Size: 10" W x 11.25" H (25.4 cm x 28.6 cm)
