Native American, Pacific Northwest Coast, Alaska, Inuit, ca. mid-20th century CE. A hand-carved wooden totem pole of a tall and slender form featuring four highly stylized zoomorphic and anthropomorphic figures painted in hues of red, blue, black, yellow, white, and green. The displayed totemic figures are (from top to bottom) a seated bear holding an inverted anthropomorphic figure; a petite lizard or frog with yellow spots; a perched bird with a large beak and enormous eyes; and a seated human with wide eyes holding a lengthy club or spear. Size: 1.375" W x 14.1" H (3.5 cm x 35.8 cm)
