Description:

Central Africa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Yakoma peoples, ca. mid-20th century CE. A lovely knife with a stocky wooden handle that is wrapped with copper wire. The forged steel blade has two sharpened edges, a pair of protruding 'ears' along the top, a bifurcated tang base, and a stippled midrib that traces up to a perforated circular hole. Size: 13.625" L x 3.3" W (34.6 cm x 8.4 cm).
