A beautiful miniature figural amulet cast from high-grade (98.5%) silver depicting Hanuman, a monkey-form deity who is famous for his adventures in the Hindu Sanskrit poem "The Ramayana" ("Rama's Journey). The figure stands with an erect posture atop an integral tiered plinth with hands held in a praying position in front of his chest, and his simian-style face boasts recessed eyes, a rounded mouth, and an intricate headdress. Size: 0.5" W x 1.2" H (1.3 cm x 3 cm); quality of silver: 98.5%; total weight: 15.1 grams.
