Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Michoacan, ca. 500 BCE. A very fine standing "Pretty Lady" with a pregnant belly and nubbin breasts. Her visage is quite expressive with large diamond shaped eyes and an open mouth perhaps indicating that she is engaged in song or prayer. She appears to be nude except for a large pair of cross-hatch incised, round ear ornaments. Size: 4-1/2"H. Provenance: Ex-private P.
