Latin America, Mexico, ca. 20th to 21st century CE. A pendant made from a fossilized shark tooth set into a modern sterling silver mount with wire appliques and a lovely Mexican fire opal cabochon! The opaque surface of the fire opal is heavily polished to reveal the milky-lilac and flashes of iridescence within! The pendant is strung on a modern cord which can easily be switched to different length or chain depending on one's preference. Size of pendant: 2" L x 1.2" W (5.1 cm x 3 cm); cord: 21" L (53.3 cm); silver quality: 95.6%; weight: 10.5 grams
