Ancient western North America, Mesozoic period, ca. 252 to 66 million years ago. A fine collection of polished spherical beads formed from dinosaur bone and fragments of dinosaur coprolite. The beads exhibit a beautiful range of colors from creamy beige to russet to grey and brown, and petite modern silver spacer caps are placed in-between some of the beads. Strung in modern times and capped with a silver-plated loop and lobster clasp combo, this is a wearable and wonderful example of jewelry made from fossils! Size (necklace): 19.25" L (48.9 cm); (largest bead): 0.7" W x 0.4" H (1.8 cm x 1 cm)
