Description:

Near East, Mesopotamia, Neo-Assyrian / Neo-Babylonian, ca. 1000 to 500 BCE. A collection of 4 ancient Near Eastern stone stamp seal beads, each pierced for suspension. The largest Is a translucent quartzite (rock crystal) with linear marks to create a winged cultic / divine being. The conoid seal is glass with a leaping ibex ram on the side, the rest of the face is abraded. The opaque pink stone has a faint linear motif - possibly another horned animal, and the semi-opaque cylinder bead with rearing animals - perhaps ibex or deer. Size of largest: 0.85" L x 0.7" W (2.2 cm x 1.8 cm)
