Description:

Ancient Near East, Mesopotamia, ca. 2nd to 1st millennium BCE. A hand-carved stone cylindrical stamp seal with an intriguing scene incised across the exterior surfaces. Shown is a pair of standing, broad-chested men who each hold one hand up towards the other, with the figure in striped robes being followed by a third standing figure of slender form. The remaining columnar space features a set of incised cuneiform characters that perhaps identify the figures and the scene. Size: 0.48" L x 0.48" W x 1.23" H (1.2 cm x 1.2 cm x 3.1 cm)
