Near East, Persia (Iran), Kashan, ca. 12th to 14th century CE. A thin-walled ceramic bowl that flares upward, the interior painted with a floral register in an umber brown hue on a creamy white ground with 3 bands of a dark blue running from the rim towards the center tondo. These bold stripes are a stylistic motif associated with medieval Kashan. Size: 6" Diameter x 2.75" H (15.2 cm x 7 cm)
