Description:

Pre-Columbian, Maya Territories, Classic Period, Ulua Valley, Honduras, ca. 200 to 900 CE. A fragmentary polychrome vase with a delightful form of saurian heads projecting as handles from the upper sides. Around the upper body is a ring of glyph-like symbols including a lord's head; around the lower body is a round motif, also of lord's heads, divided by three black lines. The Ulua Valley was a major point of connection between the Maya world and places beyond to the south, and they produced Maya-style pottery. Comes with custom stand. Size: 5.6" L x 9.5" W x 7.8" H (14.2 cm x 24.1 cm x 19.8 cm)
