Mayan artisans depicted various animals in their works as fauna played critical roles in their lives. In addition to hunting animals, animals were critical to their spiritual lives. Monkeys, wild pigs, coatimundi, jaguars, deer, rabbits, rattlesnakes, tapirs, birds and sea creatures figured prominently in their world. 2-1/2"H x 6"L
