Pre-Columbian, Southern Mexico to Guatemala, Maya / Toltec, ca. 900 to 1200 CE. A pair of hand-built pottery vessels with each a stable base and globular body. The Maya produced a pottery with a hard and shiny surface known as plumbate ware which was probably made by a very small number of artisans around the Mexico/Guatemala border who then exported them throughout wider Mesoamerica. Size: 5.5" Diameter x 5.75" H (14 cm x 14.6 cm)
