Pre-Columbian, Peten Region, Guatemala, Maya, Late Classic, ca. 550 to 850 CE. Lovely Maya polychrome bowl decorated with 4 bands of abstract glyphoids - possibly a variant to a "mat" glyph or perhaps a repeat pattern of jaguar pelts. Nice traditional orange, red, and black highly burnished surface. A lovely bowl! Size: 6" in diameter (15.2 cm)
