Description:

Pre-Columbian, Southern Mexico to Guatemala, Maya, Late Classic Period, ca. 550 to 900 CE. A hand-carved omphacite jade pendant of hefty trapezoidal shape bearing an unfinished design. The mottled green jade takes the form of an abstract fish from one angle, a face from another, and perhaps an avian form from a third angle, and a biconical hole is drilled through the body for suspension and wearability. Size: 2.8" L x 2" W (7.1 cm x 5.1 cm)
