Pre-Columbian, Mayan Territories, Guatemala, El Quiche, Mayan, Classic Period, ca. 600 to 900 CE. An interesting seated polychrome terracotta figure that may have been part of an incensario. He is sculpted with vivid details, including a loincloth, heavy necklace, and earspools. He has a toothy grin and one hand holding an implement. Excellent remains of earthy red pigment cover most of his body, with his clothing and ornament in white and blue. Size: 5.55" W x 8.8" H (14.1 cm x 22.4 cm)
