A hand-built and highly burnished pottery bowl decorated with black and red pigment atop a light orange ground. Within the basin is a procession of 5 stylized turkeys, each with a branch or stem held in its red-painted beak. The turkeys surround a circular panel within the center of the basin. Around the exterior are 8 figures, 2 sets of 2 pairs of figures facing each other as if in heated debate. Size: 8.375" L x 8.25" W x 3.125" H (21.3 cm x 21 cm x 7.9 cm)

Provenance: Private Reinsmoen collection, Clear Lake, Iowa, acquired through descent from Robert Anderson, acquired prior to 2000.
