Hector Gallegos Jr. (Mexican, Mata Ortiz, 1981 to present) An ornate of the sgraffito (etched) pottery vessel with a nature scene of southwestern plants, deer, birds, skunks, and ducks near the base. Hector Gallegos has participated in numerous yearly pottery competitions receiving various accolades for his individual creations locally and internationally. His works are held in museum collections including The Museum of Man San Diego, and the National Museum of Folk Art Mexico City. Signed on the base. Size: 8" Diameter x 10" H (20.3 cm x 25.4 cm)
