Description:

Ancient Seas, Middle Miocene to end of Pliocene eras, ca. 28 to 2.6 million years ago. This monstrously massive tooth is from a prehistoric megalodon - the largest fish or shark to ever exist! This tooth has the characteristic triangular form with a gorgeous matte charcoal black root and lustrous enamel of a contrasting gray hue. The coloration of this megalodon tooth is natural- the vast range of hues we see in these teeth are due to chemicals and minerals present in the water and sediment as the tooth fossilizes. The size of this tooth is remarkable and simply astounding when held since it is nearly 6 inches in length! Size: 5.96" L x 4.99" W (15.1 cm x 12.7 cm); 6.75" H (17.1 cm) on included custom stand.
