Description:

Northern Europe, Viking or Norse culture, ca. 9th to 11th century CE. A massive iron spear head with a socketing shaft and a lengthy blade. The blade features flared shoulders that taper inward to a narrow tip. A prominent midrib runs from the socket to the midsection of the blade. This is certainly an intimidating weapon that may have been used in combat. Size: 17.675" L x 2.5" W (44.9 cm x 6.4 cm); 18" H (45.7 cm) on included custom stand.
