The hollow bronze socket cast in the form of the foreparts of an ibex, front legs tucked beneath the body, antlers spiral backwards to form loopsed horns curved back onto the neck to form a loop. Whetstones are utilitarian objects used to grind and hone the edges of tools and implements. Size: 5-3/4"L nose to end.
