Description:

Ancient Near East, Northwestern Iran, Luristan, ca. 1200 to 800 BCE. A gorgeous cast-bronze spear point with an elongated profile, a short tail end with a circular perforation, narrow shoulders near the top, and a wide, raised midrib running the length of both faces which gradually tapers to a point. While areas of the original golden-brown bronze are still visible, the surface is enveloped with light-brown and both pale- and dark-green patina. Size: 16.75" H (42.5 cm); 17.3" H (43.9 cm) on included custom stand.
