Northwest Iran, Ca 1000 to 800 BCE. A very fine example of Luristan metal-work! Short sword in solid bronze, each edge of the blade sharpened and apparently used in battle based on a few edge nicks. Central "blood ridge down entire length, "C" shaped support just below grip which is recessed on each side to accommodate wood or ivory inserts, now gone from age.
