Description:

Luristan, Late Bronze Age, ca. 1000 - 800 BCE. A cast bronze short sword with spindle pommel, long handle, "pincer" hilt, and long tapered blade with center raised ridge. This sword is an example of the superb craftsmanship of the bronze workers in the highlands of Luristan. This sword is perfectly balanced, with neither side being heavier than the other, and feels like a natural extension of the harm when held. 17-1/2"L.
