Ancient Near East, Northwestern Iran, Luristan, ca. 1200 to 800 BCE. Two ancient armaments covered in green and brown patina. First is a copper spear tip with a petaloid blade and a tapered tang meant to attach to a lengthy wooden pole. The larger artifact is a dagger bearing a broad blade, a shallow midrib, and a recessed handle meant to hold decorative inlays. Size of largest: 12.5" L x 1.75" W (31.8 cm x 4.4 cm)

  • Condition: Loss to tip of dagger blade as shown; spear tip is intact. Each piece with abrasions and nicks, light earthen deposits, and slight bending to overall form, otherwise in great condition. Nice patina throughout.
