Roman, early Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 2nd century CE. A beautiful group of two spiraling hair rings shaped from lengthy gold wires. One ring is made from 61% gold wire (equivalent to 14K+ gold) that coils just under three full times and exhibits a golden-brown coloration. The second ring is shaped from 61% gold wire (equivalent to 14K+ gold) of a thicker style with rounded terminals. A fabulous set of wearable fashion from ancient Rome! Size of each (both are relatively similar): 1.1" Diameter (2.8 cm); quality of gold: 61% (equivalent to 14K+); total weight: 19.7 grams.
