A pair of framed Dutch Delft purple manganese biblical tiles, both painted in an aubergine on white color scheme, one depicting the Annunciation, the other presenting a devout shepherd praying to the divine. Both scenes are rendered in linear perspective within a circular ovalo that is surrounded by a double border with a foliage motif in each corner. Mounted in charming antique frames. Size: 5" L x 5" W (12.7 cm x 12.7 cm); 6.5" L x 6.5" W (16.5 cm x 16.5 cm) framed

Provenance: private Los Angeles County, California, USA collection, acquired by descent from the owner's father, collection amassed between 1950-1990
