Description:

Native American, Alaska, Inuit, Aleutian, or Punuk peoples, Pre-Contact Period, ca. 100 to 1000 CE. An interesting collection of seven slender spear tips carved from either walrus or whale bone. The longest spear head is of a basic design, with a tapered shaft and a single pointed barb. Three of the smaller points have narrow tips with central slits and traces of one or both attachment arms. Three larger spear tips have thick heads with central slits, narrow attachment slots, and arms with carved strap slits or string holes. Size of largest (single barb): 5.1" L (13 cm).
