Pre-Columbian, West Mexico, Nayarit, ca. 300 BCE to 300 CE. A set of 6 hand-built pottery bowls, each with a unique pattern within the basin or across the exterior surfaces. The pattern styles include checkerboard, concentric circles, linear, and stippled, all in various hues of red, brown, beige, white, or dark brown. Size of largest: 5.875" W x 2.1" H (14.9 cm x 5.3 cm)

Provenance: private Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA collection; ex-Minerva Gallery; ex-Benjamin Vega, California, USA, acquired in 2006 to 2007; ex-Gene and Virginia George, brought to the USA from 1961 to 1966
