Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. Five beautiful intaglios, two dark red garnet, the other three red-orange carnelian. One garnet features a standing figure in a toga; the other an elegant woman beautifully outfitted and shown as a profile bust. The carnelian examples include a standing, youthful god, a bust of a woman, and an image of two figures standing beside what looks like an altar. Size of largest: 0.6" W (1.5 cm)

Provenance: ex-Frances Artuner collection, Belgium, collected in the 1960s
