Peru, north coast, coming from the Inca, chimu and Chancay cultures, ca. 800 to 1300 CE. Included are a fine Inca headband in tan, gray, red and green along with a small section in tightly woven red with abstract being in brown, green, gold and white. Also an interesting Chancay painted section in shades of brown and tan along with a chimu section with birds in red and pink, and another in browns and tan. 22" L for longest. Provenance: Ex-M. Weinstein collection acquired through descent, originally acquired in Peru in the early 1960's. All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14, and are guaranteed to be as described or your money back.
