Description:

Pre-Columbian Americas, Colombia, Tairona culture and Ecuador, Ca 1000 to 1500 CE. Four stone cults, including a pair from the Chimbopozo Province of Ecuador with wonderfully contrasting shapes and hues, one grey and one deep green. Both show wear from use, but are fine examples nonetheless. The other pair is remarkable for the pure geometry achieved by the Tairona artisans who carved them. Beyond their classic forms, they are aesthetically pleasing for their soft charcoal grey hues and contrasting sizes. One is an exceptionally large example. 9 3/4"L for the longest
