Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A wondrous ensemble of cameo fragments - most made of glass and one of agate, including a glass cameo section depicting a visage of a Hoplite warrior wearing a vermilion red helmet and presenting a white face in profile; a glass cameo section depicting a white hand holding an implement in white on a partially translucent golden ground; a glass cameo section with an extended hand gesturing toward a curved orb with tiny feet upon it - perhaps representing Victoria alighting upon a globe; finally, a section featuring a fluted column in white upon a caramel hued ground - this one perhaps made of agate. Size: cameo of hand holding instrument measures 1.125" W x 1" H (2.9 cm x 2.5 cm)
