Description:

Pre-Columbian, Northern Peru, Chavin and Moche, ca. 900 to 200 BCE for the bone and 100 to 800 CE for the others. These are four small, exquisite pendants. One, from the Chavin culture of highland Peru, is a carved, red-painted piece of bone with geometric zoomorphic designs. The other three are stone, one in the shape of a shoe, another in the form of what appears to be a cat face, and the third in the form of a large-beaked bird. Size of largest: 1-1/4"H x 1/2"W (3.2 cm x 1.3 cm).
