**First Time At Auction**

East Asia, China, ca. early to mid 20th century (pre-WWII) CE. A quartet of pale blue green jadeite pendants. Two are nearly identical, roughly ovoid with relief carving of a single flower, its bud still closed. A third, the thickest, is carved in a high relief motif of fruit hanging from a vine. This jadeite includes some small areas of gold-colored inclusions. The fourth is the smallest, in the form of a seated Buddha or bodhisattva atop a lotus flower crown. All four have tiny drilled holes for suspension at the top; the latter two feature modern gold-plated loops for suspension. Size: 1.25" W x 2.1" H (3.2 cm x 5.3 cm)

Provenance: private Palm Springs, California, USA collection, acquired before 1965; ex-private American collection that left China in 1949
