Description:

North America, United States, Ohio, ca. 1900 to 1920 CE. A fine selection of four wheel-thrown pottery vessels with glazed surfaces that preserve the underlying brown, faded yellow, and white exteriors. The smallest jug has a uniform dark-brown coloration and a squat neck. The second jug has a faded yellow body and a chocolate-brown shoulder with feathered motifs. The largest jug has a grey body, dark-brown neck and handle, and a corn-cob plug. The largest vessel is a cylindrical white-and-brown crock with a lightly carinated rim, a yellow-glazed lid, and a blue "2" encircled within a crown. The crown logo denotes the Robinson Ransbottom Pottery Co. of Roseville, Ohio. Size of largest (crock w/o lid): 9.3" Diameter x 8.875" H (23.6 cm x 22.5 cm).
