Description:

East Asia, China, Neolithic Period, ca. 3000 to 2000 BCE. A quartet of beautiful terracotta vessels. Three are drinking vessels, each with a flat base, a bulbous body, a corseted neck, a wide mouth, a slightly-flared rim, and two applied strap handles. All have a reddish, buff hue, with their bodies black geometric motifs. The fourth is larger, with a bulbous form, a corseted neck, flared mouth, and two tiny, nub-like projections low on the body. Size of largest: 6" W x 5" H (15.2 cm x 12.7 cm)
