Description:

Southeast Asia, Cambodia, Khmer Empire (Angkor culture), ca. 800 to 1300 CE. A quartet of charming vessels, each glazed a deep brown. Three are globular, standing on small disc foots, with small mouths. The fourth is elongated, with a gently bulging body, two small strap handles, and a narrow, round mouth. It also has a series of incised grooves around its upper shoulder. The glaze on all extends to just above the foot. These forms were likely inspired by trade with China.
