Description:

Northern Europe, Viking to Medieval periods, ca. 9th to 13th century CE. A trio of bronze buckles, probably from horse tack or worn on a smaller belt. The largest is white bronze, with an ornate cast motif. The other two are similarly-sized, with a rounded, ovoid form and a thin pin. Size of largest: 3.15" L x 1.6" W (8 cm x 4.1 cm)

  • Condition: The largest has a very dark patina, and a loss at the end. The smallest is in very nice condition with a grey-green patina. The middle-sized one has losses to the pin and the body, with a pretty teal patina.
