Description:

Late Roman / Early Islamic, ca. late 4th to 6th century CE. A fantastic ensemble of three mold-formed bottles of a petite size. Each bottle has a flat base, a pattern-molded body with either seven or eight sides, a lightly corseted shoulder, and a flared spout. The bottles exhibit swaths of silvery and rainbow-hued iridescence with areas of golden iridescence scattered throughout. A beautiful collection of near-miniature glass bottles with striking hues and sophisticated technique. Size of each (all are relatively similar): 0.75" W x 2.7" H (1.9 cm x 6.9 cm); 3.2" H (8.1 cm) on included custom stand.

  • Condition: Minor nicks and abrasions to bodies, bases, and spouts, with light weathering film, and some micro-bubbling within glass matrix, otherwise intact and very good. Nice earthen deposits as well as fabulous silver, rainbow, and golden iridescence throughout.
